Caseificio Sociale Cavola participates in the project “In Forma – Virtuous chains with high animal welfare content in the Parmigiano Reggiano production area” – Initiative implemented within the Regional Rural Development Program 2014-2020 of Emilia-Romagna – Type of operation 16.1.01 – Operational groups of the European partnership for innovation: Productivity and sustainability of agriculture – Focus Area 3A – Improving the competitiveness of primary producers by better integrating them into the agri-food chain through quality schemes, creating added value for agricultural products, promoting products in local markets, short supply chains, associations and organizations of producers and interprofessional organizations.
Project objectives:
To verify the technical, environmental and economic feasibility of a PR capable of guaranteeing high standards of quality, in order to meet the evolution of national and international demand for an offer capable of guaranteeing the authenticity and sustainability of agri-food production, increasing the competitiveness and profitability of the PR throughout the entire supply chain.
Total amount of the project: € 296,844.63 – Regional contribution allowed: € 226,566.94.

CASEIFICIO CAVOLA s.c.a. participates as a partner in the project “SLEGAMI – Innovative and sustainable solutions to improve animal welfare in the stable farms of the Parmigiano Reggiano area” – Initiative implemented within the Regional Rural Development Program 2014-2020 of Emilia-Romagna — Type of operation 16.1.01 — Operational groups of the European partnership for innovation: Productivity and sustainability of agriculture – Focus Area 2A – Improving the economic performance of all agricultural enterprises and encouraging the restructuring and modernization of agricultural enterprises, in particular to increase the market share and market orientation as well as the diversification of activities.
The objective of SLEGAMI is to identify innovative and environmentally and economically sustainable solutions to improve animal welfare in fixed-pen stables, both those that can be converted into free-range stables and those that cannot.
